BLINGONE “All Chinese Members, A Challenge to Showcase China’s Colors and Music”
On the afternoon of Feb 12th, BLINGONE (Chloe, Junny, Cassie, Sandy, Katrina, Ranee) held a showcase at the World K-Pop Center in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul to celebrate the release of the second unit’s new song “Bubble Gum”.
BLINGONE’s leader Cassie said, “Today’s showcase is a stage that fills me with both excitement and nervousness. My team members and I worked hard to put on a great performance, and we wanted to shine when people saw us, so we prepared diligently.“
She continued, “It’s a challenge for each member individually, but since all of us are of Chinese origin, I think it’s also a great opportunity to showcase China’s colors and music.” She then asked for support, “Please give us lots of love in the future.”
The title track “Bubble Gum” samples the classical piece “Overture”, featuring a familiar melody theme for listeners. The song blends an energetic hip-hop dance beat with lively synth sounds, combined with the members’ colorful charms, creating a unique and kitschy mood that defines BLINGONE.
“Click the Star” is a global K-pop girl group project spanning 32 countries. Each country selects one national representative girl group, and a total of 32 girl groups—each consisting of members from a single country—debut under the same group name “BLINGONE”. After debuting on Korean music broadcasts, these groups will carry out unit activities both in their home countries and on the global stage.
The BLINGONE debuting this time is the second unit following BLINGONE Peru. The members were chosen through the “Click the Star” China debut survival program, which had 260,000 participants last year. They have since undergone professional production and systematic training under top K-pop experts.
